Charge air cooler: Removing and installing
t  Removing → Anchor
t  Fitting → Anchor
t  Tightening torques → Anchor
Check the tool and equipment equivalence table according to the applicability between Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Tightening torque -VAG 1331-, see equivalent → Anchor
  W00-0427
t  Pliers -VAS 6340-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Centralising pin -T10093-
Removing
–  Unscrew the left and right hand side air pipes of the intercooler.
–  Place the lock carrier plate into service position without mechanical components: →  Bodywork, exterior fitting work ; Rep. Gr.50.
–  Remove the coolant radiator → Chapter.
  WARNING
The air conditioning cooling circuit must not be opened.

–  Undo the bolts -1- from the lock carrier plate to the intercooler.
  Note
To avoid damage to the flexible conduits/tubes of the cooling agent, the tubes must not be pulled, bent or stretched excessively.

–  Loosen the bolts of the condenser bracket -Arrow-.
  E19-10001
–  Remove securing bolts -2- of condenser.
–  Pull the radiator out upwards.
Installing
Fit in reverse order from removal, remembering the following:
Fit the supercharger air system hoses and observe the assembly instructions → Chapter
–  Fill up coolant → Chapter.
