  Note
t  In the vehicles with four wheel drive, the shape of the fuel tank makes it necessary to pump the fuel of the zone of the fuel level sender 2 -G169- with a suction pump to the fuel supply unit.
t  Only perform the test if the engine stops due to lack of fuel even if the fuel level gauge indicates a tank still at 1/4 of its capacity.
t  Observe safety precautions → Chapter.
t  Observe rules for cleanliness → Chapter.
Operation process
–  Remove fuel delivery unit → Chapter
   
–  Remove from the fuel supply unit the spray jet return hose -arrow-.
–  Detach the quick-release coupling of the supply pipe from the suction jet pump on the Y-piece of the fuel delivery unit.
–  Remove the fuel level sender 2 -G169- → Chapter.
–  Now the suction jet pump can pulled out from the side of the fuel gauge sender 2 -G169- (left side of the vehicle).
–  Check for secure seating of the fuel pipes on the suction pump as well as their condition.
–  Also check the vacuum pump for dirt.
