| When carrying out work on the fuel supply and injection system, the following cleanliness rules must be observed: |

| Thoroughly clean all unions and the adjacent areas before opening. |

| Place parts that have been removed on a clean surface and cover them. Do not use rags that shed fibres! |

| Cover or carefully close any exposed parts if the repair is not to be made immediately. |
| t
| Only fit thoroughly clean components Only unpack spares just before fitting them. Do not use parts that have been stored loose (e.g. in tool boxes etc.). |
| t
| When the system is open, do not work with compressed air. Do not move vehicle unless absolutely necessary. |
| t
| Also ensure that no diesel fuel comes into contact with the coolant hoses. If necessary, clean the hoses immediately. All affected hoses must be replaced. |
