Fuel level sender: Removing and installing > < Fuel supply unit: removing and installing|Remove

Install
Install
–  Install the supply unit in the reverse order of removal.
  Note!
t  When installing the fuel supply unit, make sure that the fuel level gauge sender is not bent.
t  Before installation, wet the ring gasket of the flange with fuel.
t  Check that the fuel hoses are firmly seated.
t  Once the fuel supply unit is installed, check that the supply, return and breather lines are still attached to the fuel tank.
   
t  Check the installation position of the fuel supply unit flange. The mark on the flange should coincide with the mark on the fuel tank -arrows-.
–  Read fault memories of all control units → Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information systemVAS 5051.
–  Carry out test drive and read fault memories of all control units again.
