Coolant pipe - front: Removing and installing

Special tools and workshop equipment required

t	Base -T20174-, see equivalent → Anchor

Removing

Proceed as follows:

–	Drain coolant → Chapter.

–	Remove catalytic converter → Chapter.

Note

Place a cloth underneath to catch escaping engine oil.

–	Unscrew bolts -1- and -2- and remove oil return pipe for turbocharger.

–	Remove bolts -1- and -2- and detach coolant pipes (front) from oil cooler.

–	Detach coolant hoses -arrows-.

Installing

l	Tightening torques → Chapter

Reassembly is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

–	Install oil return pipe for turbocharger → Chapter.

–	Install catalytic converter → Chapter.

–	Fill up coolant → Chapter.
