t  Base -T20174-, see equivalent → Anchor

t  Tray -T20173-, see equivalent → Anchor

Removal:
–  Remove radiator cowl → Chapter.
  WARNING
Hot steam/hot coolant can escape - risk of scalding.
t  The cooling system is under pressure when the engine is hot.
t  Cover filler cap on expansion tank with a cloth and open carefully to release pressure.
–  Open the cap of the coolant expansion tank.

–  Place drip tray for workshop cranes -VAS 6208- beneath engine.
–  Detach coolant hose (bottom) -1- from radiator (lift retaining clip).
  Note
Ignore position -2-.

–  Disconnect coolant hose -arrow- (top left) from radiator (pull out retaining clip).
  A19-10611
–  Remove bolts -arrows- and take out radiator downwards.
Installing
l  Tightening torques → Chapter
Reassembly is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
–  Install radiator cowl → Chapter.
–  Fill up with coolant → Chapter.
