Expansion tank,removing and fitting
Expansion tank,removing and fitting
Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Base -T20174-, see equivalent → Anchor
  W00-2456
t  Torque wrench (5... 50 Nm) -V.A.G 1331-, see equivalent → Anchor
Expansion tank: Removing → Anchor
Expansion tank: Fitting → Anchor
Removing
–  Switch ignition OFF.
–  Drain coolant → Chapter.
  W00-0427
–  Disconnect the coolant hoses -1- and -2- in the expansion tank.
–  Pull out the plug -3-.
–  Undo the bolts -arrows- and remove the expansion tank -4-.
Installing
Install in reverse order to dismantling, noting the following:
–  Fill up with coolant → Chapter.
–  Electrical connections and cable layout: → Current flow diagrams, Electrical fault finding and Fitting locations
