1 - Bolt
q   Torque setting 50 Nm + 90°
q   replace
q   When measuring radial clearance, tighten used bolt to 50 Nm but do not use an angle tightener
2 - Bearing cap
q   Mark used bearing caps for re-installation but do not make marks on bearing surface
q   Bearing cap 3 with rebates for the thrust washer
q   Bearing shell retaining lugs (cylinder block/bearing cap) must be on the same side.
3 - Thrust washers
q   Only fitted on 3rd crankshaft bearing
q   Fitting position: Oil grooves face toward crank webs
4 - Crankshaft
q   Crankshaft dimensions → Chapter
q   Measuring axial clearance → Chapter
q   Measuring radial clearance → Chapter
5 - Sealing flange with sender crown and seal
q   Renewing crankshaft sealing flange - flywheel end → Chapter.
q   Always replace the sealing flange together with the seal and the sender crown
6 - Bolt
q   Tightening torque: 12 Nm
q   replace
7 - Engine speed sender -G28-
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
8 - Bolt
q   Tightening torque: 5 Nm
9 - Thrust washers
q   For bearing cap 3.
q   Note fixing arrangement.
10 - Bearing cap
q   For cylinder block with oil groove.
q   Maintain the installation location of the used bearing shells for reinstallation, do not make any markings on running surface.
q   Note fixing arrangement.
11 - Pinions
q   For drive chain of the oil pump and camshaft timing chain
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
q   The contact surfaces may not contain any oil or grease residue.
q   Installation position → Fig.
12 - Bearing cap
q   For bearing cap without oil groove.
q   Maintain the installation location of the used bearing shells for reinstallation, do not make any markings on running surface.
q   Note fixing arrangement.

   
Fitting position for crankshaft pinion
l  Drive lug -2- on chain sprocket -1- must engage in groove -3- on crankshaft.
