Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Internal dial gauge 50..-100 mm
   
Check bore
–  Take measurements at 3 positions in both lateral direction -A- and longitudinal direction -B-. Deviation to the nominal value: max. 0.08 mm.
–  Nominal measurement → Chapter
  Note
Measuring the cylinder bores must not be done when the cylinder block is mounted on a base -T20172/1- and tower -T20172/2- and engine support -T20172/3- as incorrect measurements would then be possible.
