Special tools and workshop equipment required

t  Guide sleeve -T10071-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Bolt M8 x 60:
Operation process
  W00-1189
–  Release quick fasteners -arrows- and remove engine cover panel.
–  Remove upper notched belt guard.
  E10-10065
–  Separate the plug connections -arrow- of the Hall sensors -G40-.
–  Remove Hall sender housing and also washer and rotor for Hall sender.

–  To guide oil seal extractor, screw bolt -2085/1- into camshaft as far as it will go until finger-tight.
–  Unscrew inner part of oil seal extractor -2085- two turns (approx. 3 mm) from the outer part and lock in position with the knurled screw.

–  Oil the threaded head of theextractor -2085-, place and push forcefully as far as it will go into the gasket.
–  Loosen the knurled head screw and turn the inner part against the cam shaft till the sealant ring (gasket) has engaged.

–  Place the guide sleeve -T10071/5- onto the camshaft journal.
  Note
Do not oil seal sealing lip.
–  Slide oil seal over guide sleeve onto camshaft journal.
–  Take off guide sleeve.

–  Press oil seal in as far as the stop using press sleeve -T10071/3- and bolt M8x60.
–  Install Hall sender → Item.
–  Install top section of toothed belt cover making sure it engages securely on centre section of toothed belt cover in the process.
