Fuel rail with injectors - Assembly overview

1 -

O ring

Replace

q	Before installing moisten with clean engine oil

2 -	Elastic element

q	Replace every time the lower part of the intake manifold is removed

q	Ensure proper seating on injector.

3 -	Injector, cylinder 4 -N33-

q	Injector, cylinder 1 -N30-

q	Injector, cylinder 2 -N31-

q	Injector, cylinder 3 -N32-

q	With Teflon seal and support washer.

q	After dismounting the injector, the Teflon seal and support washer should be replaced → Chapter

q	Injection valves: removing and fitting → Chapter

4 -	Intake manifold lower part

Caution

If only the bottom part of the intake pipe has to be removed, take care that the injectors remain in the cylinder head.

If necessary, ask a second mechanic to hold the injectors tight.

Reason: After dismounting the injector, the Teflon seal and support washer should be replaced → Chapter.

q	To remove and install: using "bracket for 5/16" bits" -V.A.G 1766/2- and Bit -3320/2-

q	To remove, removing and installing regulating flap control unit -J808-, throttle valve module -J338- and intake manifold → Chapter.

Removing and installing lower part of intake manifold

To remove and install the securing bolt -arrow- use Holder for 5/16 inch bits -V.A.G 1766/2- and Bit -3320/2-.
