Emptying fuel tank when fuel pump is intact

Fuel drainage equipment -VAS 5190-
Not illustrated.
Hose -VAS 6550/1-
  WARNING
Fuel supply pipes are pressurised. Wear eye protection and protective clothing to avoid eye injuries and skin contact. Before loosening hose connections, wrap a cloth around the connection. Then release pressure by carefully loosening the union nut.

–  Pull fuel supply line -arrow- off fuel filter.
  Note
Release connection by pressing button on hose coupling.
  N20-10629
–  Connect hose -VAS 6550/1- to fuel supply line.
–  Guide open end of hose line -VAS 6550/1- into fuel extractor -VAS 5190-.
–  Connect → Vehicle diagnostic tester and perform Guided Function „Start fuel high-pressure“.
  Note
The fuel pump is now activated.
–  Repeat procedure until fuel tank is completely empty.
