Variable intake manifold change-over function: check

Check the tool and equipment equivalence table according to the applicability between Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter

This inspection must be performed when the drive speed is insufficient. This means that the acceleration is inadequate or the vehicle reacts delayed.

Special tools and workshop equipment required

t	Manual vacuum pump -VAS 6213-

t	Vacuum tester -V.A.G 1368-

l	The variable intake manifold change-over valve -N156- has been checked using the „guided fault finding“ of the central diagnosis -VAS 5051B-.

If the variable intake manifold change-over valve -N156- is okay, carry out the following checks:

–	Check that the vacuum hoses are correctly connected.

–	Check the vacuum hoses for porosity.

–	Check vacuum system for leaks.

–	Check the tightness of the vacuum switch in the intake manifold upper part → Chapter.
