Centre and secondary silencers: Separate
Centre and secondary silencers: Separate
t  The connecting pipe can be cut through at the point marked in order to renew the centre and secondary silencers separately.
t  The cutting point can be identified by the impression on the circumference of the exhaust tube.
Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Base -U-40075-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Protective glasses

Operation process
  WARNING
Wear eye protection.
–  Cut through the exhaust pipe at right angles -arrow 2- using pliers -U-40075-.
–  Position the clamp for fitting -4- on the marks -arrow 1- and -arrow 3-.
–  Installation position and tightening torque of the clamping sleeve
–  Align exhaust system without tension → Chapter
