Service interval display
Function
The electronics of the service interval display includes:
t  a time counter
and
t  two mileometers.
The electronics evaluate the contents of the counter such that the customer, or
t  after the established period of time has passed
or
t  upon reaching the established mileage,
is informed via the service interval display of the need for servicing (in function of whichever occurs first).
Servicing display
   
Between servicings only the total mileage and the daily mileage -2- are displayed.
When it is time for a service, on mileometer -2- under the mileage will appear:
t  with the ignition off “service”,
t  after switching on the ignition, or 3 minutes after starting the engine, the class of the servicing (service table → Anchor)
  Note!
t  When the button -1- is pressed the display can be reset to “service”.
t  3 minutes after starting the engine, the display returns to “service”.

Inspection service every 12 months or every 30,000 km

In function of the service done, one or both classes of service must be reset to the original setting, that is:
t  If the inspection service OIL is done, OIL has to be reset.
t  If the inspection service INSP is done, INSP and OIL must be reset.
The service interval display can be reset in different ways:
t  with the mileage button under the speedometer → Chapter
or with the
t  Fault reader -V.A.G. 1551- → Rep. Gr.01
