Removing and installing lock cylinder
Removing
–  Remove steering wheel → Body Work; Rep. Gr.69.
–  Removing top and bottom steering column trim → Body Work; Rep. Gr.70.
   
–  Separate plug connection -1- of reader coil.

–  Insert key into ignition lock and turn into position “Ignition ON”. The marking on the reader coil -1- is opposite the lock cylinder hole -2-.

–  Release the lock -3- by pushing steel wire or pin (about Ø 1.5 mm) -2- as far as the stop into the lock cylinder and pull the lock cylinder with the reader coil -1- out of the steering lock housing.
  Note
t  The reading spool for the vehicle immobiliser is fixed to the lock cylinder and cannot be replaced separately.
t  If the lock cylinder including the key must be replaced, observe the instructions for adaptation of the ignition key → Chapter.
Install
–  Insert key into ignition lock and turn into position “Ignition ON”.
–  Push lock cylinder and ignition key fully into steering lock housing.
–  Fit together the electrical plug connection at the immobiliser reader coil.
–  Install trim panels and steering wheel.
