Removing
–
Removing timing belt
→ Chapter
.
–
Remove crankshaft toothed belt sprocket. Lock timing belt sprocket with counterholder -T30004- or counterholder - MP1-310-.
Note
When screwing on the counterholder place 2 washers between the timing belt gear and the counterholder.
–
Before inserting the gasket ring extractor, screw the central bolt by hand into the crankshaft up to the stop.
–
Unscrew inner part of the gasket ring extractor -MP1-226- two turns out of the outer part and lock with knurled screw.
–
Oil the thread head of the gasket ring extractor -MP1-226-, position and forcefully screw it into the gasket ring as far as possible.
–
Slacken knurled screw and turn inner part of gasket ring extractor against the crankshaft until the gasket ring is pulled out.
Install elastomer gasket ring.
–
Check crankshaft for traces of wear from the gasket ring.
–
Lightly oil the sealing lip of the gasket ring.
–
Position insertion sleeve -MP1-314 - on the crankshaft stub.
–
Slide gasket ring over the insertion sleeve.
–
Press in the gasket ring with the insertion sleeve -MP1-315-. Use the old central screw for the crankshaft timing belt sprocket for this purpose.
No traces of wear on the crankshaft:
–
Press in the gasket ring flush.
Traces of wear on the crankshaft:
–
Press in the gasket ring up to the stop.
Install PTFE gasket ring
Note
The sealing lips of the gasket ring must be neither oiled nor greased.
–
Remove oil residue on the crankshaft stub with a clean cloth.
–
Install -T10053/1- guide bushing on the crankshaft stub.
–
Slide gasket ring over the guide bushing onto the crankshaft stub.
–
Press in gasket ring with assembly device -T10053- up to the stop.
Use the old central screw for the crankshaft timing belt sprocket for this purpose.
Proceed as follows for both versions
Note
t
Replace central screw for crankshaft timing belt sprocket.
t
Neither oil nor grease new central screw.
t
There must not be any oil or grease present on the contact surface between the timing belt sprocket and the crankshaft.

Install timing belt gear crankshaft and lock with counterholder -T30004- or counterholder -MP1-310-.
Note
t
When screwing on the counterholder place 2 washers between the timing belt gear and the counterholder.
t
When tightening the central screw, the crankshaft must not turn.
–
Tighten new central screw for crankshaft timing belt sprocket to 90°Nm + torque a further 90° (

4
turn).
–
Install and tension timing belt

Install the V-ribbed belt
