  WARNING
Hot steam or hot coolant may escape when the compensation bottle is opened. Cover the cap with a cloth and open carefully.
–  Open the cap of the coolant expansion reservoir.
–  Position coolant system tester (e.g. -V.A.G 1274 -) with adapter (e.g. -V.A.G 1274/8-) on the compensation bottle.
–  Generate an overpressure of approx. 0.1 MPar (1.0 bar) for testing the cooling system.
If the pressure drops:
–  Determine position of the leak and repair fault.
