Testing the pressure relief valve in the cap
Testing the pressure relief valve in the cap
–  Position coolant system tester (e.g. -V.A.G 1274 -) with adapter (e.g. -V.A.G 1274/9-) on the cap.
–  Generate an overpressure for testing the pressure relief valve.
l  The pressure relief valve should open at a pressure of 0.14 ... 0.16 MPa (1.4 ... 1.6 bar).
If the pressure relief valve does not open:
–  Replace cap.
