Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Torque wrench
t  Counterholder -T30004 - or Counterholer -MP 1-310 -
t  Gasket ring extractor -MP 1-226-
t  Assembly device -T10053-
t  Bushing -T10053/1-
t  Bolt (M16 x 1.5 x 60) -T10053/2-
–  Removing timing belt → Chapter.
   
–  Remove crankshaft toothed belt sprocket. Lock timing belt sprocket with counterholder -T30004- or counterholder - MP 1-310-.
  Note
When screwing on the counterholder -MP 1-310- place both washers between the toothed belt gear and the counterholder.

–  To guide the gasket ring extractor screw in central screw for crankshaft toothed belt sprocket in the crankshaft up to the stop.
–  Unscrew inner part of the gasket ring extractor -MP 1-226- two turns (approx. 3 mm) out of the outer part and lock with knurled screw.

–  Oil the thread head of the gasket ring extractor, position and forcefully screw into the gasket ring as far as possible.
–  Release knurled screw and turn the inner side against the crankshaft until the gasket ring is pulled out.
