Actuator diagnosis
Actuator diagnosis
Condition
l  Vehicle stationary
l  Ignition on
  Note
If the engine is running or the vehicle is moved, it is not possible to initiate final control diagnosis or the final control diagnosis is interrupted.
Perform self-diagnosis:
Both headlight parabolas should be checked only with the address word master 29 during this operation.
–  Connect vehicle system tester -V.A.G 1552- and select “Xenon headlights” (address word 29); ignition is switched on → Anchor.
   
Readout on display:
–  Enter function 03. Confirm the entry with the key Q.

Readout on display:
Both headlight parabolas are set downwards to the deadstop.
–  -> Press key.
  
Actuator diagnosis                —>
The headlights will be lowered
Readout on display:
The parabolas on both headlights are set upwards to the deadstop.
–  -> Press key.
The headlights are tilted into the set Pos. “0”.
  
Actuator diagnosis                —>
The headlights will be lifted upwards
Readout on display:
–  -> Press key.
