Removing and installing the expansion valve
Removing and installing the expansion valve
(Must only be performed in a service centre!)
–  Drain refrigerant circuit.
–  Removing refrigerant lines from the expansion valve → Chapter.
   
–  Release screws -A- (8 Nm).
–  Remove expansion valve -B- and threaded plate -E-.
Installation is performed in the reverse order, pay attention to the following points:

t  Replace both “O”-ring seals -C- (14.0 mm; 1.8 mm) and -D- (10.8 mm; 1.8 mm).
t  Shut off open connections on the evaporator.
t  If the heat-protection insulation is missing or not correctly installed, it may result in a power reduction of the air conditiong system (change of the set control characteristic curve through heat irradiation).
