Removing and installing pump for Haldex coupling V181
Removing and installing pump for Haldex coupling -V181-
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Multi-purpose tool -MP3-419 (VW 771)-
Removing
–  Switch off ignition.
   
–  Unscrew rear propshaft pipe with flexible disk and oscillation damper from rear final drive -arrows- and carefully push towards the front → Chapter.

–  Disconnect plug of pump for Haldex coupling -arrow 1-.
–  Place a catch pan under the final drive.
–  Unscrew screws -arrows 2-.
–  Then turn the pump slightly to the right.

–  Pull out the pump in the -direction of the arrow-.
Install
Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Pay attention to the following:
  S01-0096
–  Replace gasket -A-.
–  Replace O-rings -B- and -C-.
–  Pay attention to the different diameters:
t  Ø O-ring -B- = 31.5 mm
t  Ø O-ring -C- = 33 mm
–  Press in the pump up to the stop.
–  Tighten screws to 6 Nm.
–  Check oil level in Haldex coupling → Chapter, if necessary change oil in Haldex coupling → Chapter.
