Interrogating fault memory

–	Connect vehicle system tester -V.A.G 1552-. Switch on ignition on and select “four-wheel electronics” → Chapter.

–	Readout on display:

–	Enter function 02 “Interrogate fault memory”.

Select function XX

–	The number of stored faults or “No fault recognised” appears in the display.

If no fault is stored

–	Ending output → Chapter.

If one or several faults are stored

–	Press → key.

The stored faults are displayed in sequence.

–	Press → key.

X faults detected!

–	Readout on display:

–	Ending output → Chapter.

Work sequence if a fault is detected:

1. Rectify the faults by referring to the fault table, page → Chapter.

2. Interrogate fault memory (function 02).

3. Erase fault memory (Function 05).

4. End output (function 06).

5. Perform a test drive.

6. Interrogate the fault memory again.
