Removing and installing timing belt for coolant pump
Removing
–  Remove small coolant pipe → Chapter.
   
–  Slackene coolant hose -2- and cable harness -1-.
–  Unscrew screw -arrow- and remove bracket.

–  Unscrew screw -2- at bracket for pump for coolant after-running -V51-.

–  Remove coolant hoses -1 and 2- and lay to the side.
–  Remove the front right wheelhouse liner → Body Work; Rep. Gr.66.

–  Screw out screws -arrows-.
–  Remove charge-air pipe. To do so lift terminals -1 and 2-.

–  Unscrew oil scraper -1-.
  Caution
Risk of contamination to the lubrication system.
Cover the opening for the oil with a clean cloth.

–  Screw out screws -arrows- and remove timing belt guard.
  A19-10460
–  Unscrew screw -1- at drive wheel for coolant pump, to do so counterhold vibration damper.
  Caution
The screw at the drive wheel has a left-hand thread.
–  Remove drive wheel -1- and toothed belt -2-.
Install
Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Pay attention to the following:
t  Tightening torques: → Chapter
  Note
t  Replace screw for drive wheel.
t  Pay attention to the fitting location of the toothed belt sprocket → Chapter.
t  Replace O-rings and gaskets.
–  Install oil scraper → Chapter.
–  Install pump for coolant after-running -V51- → Chapter.
–  Install small coolant pipe → Chapter.
