Removing and installing timing belt for coolant pump > < The coolant pump and coolant regulator - List of assembly parts
Replace coolant temperature senderG62
Replace coolant temperature sender -G62-
Removing
   
–  Remove cover for air intake pipe, to do so release lateral retaining clasps -arrows-.
  A10-10367
–  Release screws -arrows- for the air intake connection -1- and take connecting hose -2- out of the guide.
  S23-0230
–  Press in catches -1- and -3- and pull off connecting hose -4- from air filter -2-.
–  Remove throttle valve control unit -J338- → Chapter.
  S23-0231
–  Remove support for intake manifold, to do so release nut -2- with screw -1-.
Coolant temperature sender -G62- with clamp:
  A19-10457
–  Disconnect plug -1- at the coolant temperature sender -G62-.
–  Pull off retaining clip, to do so press locks -arrows-.
–  Pull out coolant temperature sender -G62--2-.
  Note
In order to avoid a loss of large amount of coolant, immediately insert new coolant temperature sender -G62- with O-ring into the connection fitting.
Coolant temperature sender -G62- with retaining plate:
  A19-10459
–  Disconnect plug -2- at the coolant temperature sender -G62-.
–  Screw out screws -arrows- and remove the retaining plate -1-.
–  Pull out the coolant temperature sender -G62-.
  Note
In order to avoid a loss of large amount of coolant, immediately insert new coolant temperature sender -G62- with O-ring into the connection fitting.
Install
Installation is performed in the reverse order, pay attention to the following points:

Replace O-ring.
t  Tightening torques for support of intake manifold and throttle valve control unit -J338-: → Chapter
–  Check the coolant level after carrying out the work procedure → Octavia II.
