1 - Rear tunnel bridge
2 - The middle silencer
q   for first equipment building unit with rear silencer. Replace individually when carrying out repairs
q   Separation point → Chapter
q   Align exhaust system free of stress → Chapter
3 - 23 Nm
4 - Retaining strap
q   replace if damaged
5 - Hanger
6 - Lambda probe downstream of catalytic converter -G130-, 50 Nm
q   only coat thread with hot screw paste „G 052 112 A3“; hot screw paste must not get into the slot of the probe body.
q   use lambda probe wrench for removing and installing
7 - Hanger
q   replace if damaged
8 - Pre-exhaust pipe
q   with catalytic converter
q   protect against shocks and blows
q   with decoupling element
q   do not twist decoupling element more than 10° - risk of damage
q   removing and installing → Chapter
q   Align exhaust system free of stress → Chapter
9 - 25 Nm
q   replace
q   Coat stud bolts of exhaust manifold with hot bolt paste G 052 112 A3
q   observe the order of tightening up → Chapter
10 - Gasket
q   replace
11 - Exhaust manifold
q   removing and installing → Chapter
12 - 25 Nm
q   replace
q   Coat stud bolts of exhaust manifold with hot bolt paste G 052 112 A3
13 - Lambda probe upstream of catalytic converter -G39-, 50 Nm
q   only coat thread with hot screw paste „G 052 112 A3“; hot screw paste must not get into the slot of the probe body.
q   use lambda probe wrench for removing and installing
14 - Front clamping sleeve
q   align exhaust system free of stress before tightening → Chapter
q   Fitting position: end of the screw must not protrude beyond the bottom edge of the clamping sleeve, bolted connection must point to the right.
q   Tighten bolted connections evenly
15 - 23 Nm
16 - Front tunnel bridge
17 - Rear clamping sleeve
q   for replacing the middle or rear silencer
q   Fitting position: end of the screw must not protrude beyond the bottom edge of the clamping sleeve, bolted connection must point to the right.
q   Tighten bolted connections evenly
18 - Rear silencer
q   for first equipment building unit with middle silencer. Replace individually when carrying out repairs
q   Separation point → Chapter
q   Align exhaust system free of stress → Chapter
