Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Lifting device -MP9-201 (2024 A)-
t  Engine and gearbox mount - MP 1-202-
t  Extension -MP 1-202/10-
t  Bushing -T30010 (VW540/1B)-
t  Assembly stand -MP 9-101-
t  Workshop crane, e.g. -VAS 6100-
Condition
l  Separate engine from gearbox.
Procedure
–  Lift off engine with installed engine mount -T10012- with workshop crane (e.g. -VAS 6100-) from engine/gearbox jack.
–  Remove engine mount -T10012-.
   
–  For carrying out assembly work, attach the engine with the engine mount -MP 1-202-, the extension -MP 1-202/10- and the sleeve -T30010 (VW540/1B)- to the assembly stand -MP 9-101-. (The figure shows the 1.9ltr./47kW SDI Engine; the fixing system is identical).
