Removing and installing V-ribbed belt
1 - 25 Nm

Removing and installing V-ribbed belt
  Note
Mark the direction of rotation with chalk or a felt-tip pen before removing the V-ribbed belt. Reversing the rotation direction of an already used belt may destroy it rapidly.
Removing
–  Put lock carrier in service position → Body Work; Rep. Gr.50.
–  Mark the rotation direction of the V-ribbed belt.
–  Remove V-ribbed belt for AC compressor → Heating, Air Conditioning; Rep. Gr.87.
   
–  Turn the tensioning pulley with a wrench in the -direction of the arrow-.
–  First of all take V-ribbed belt off generator belt pulley and then from the other belt pulleys.
Install
Installation occurs in reverse order to removal.
  Note
Pay attention to the correct position of the V-ribbed belt in the belt pulley when installing it.
–  Check ribbed V-belt run with the engine running.
