Removing and installing shift lever with rear push rod
Removing and installing shift lever with rear push rod
Removing
–  Carefully lever off the cover from the centre console.
   
–  Turn cover inside out.
–  Carefully open clamp -arrow- and pull off gearshift knob together with the cover.

–  The noise cover must now be unscrewed from the gearbox housing -arrows A-.
–  Then remove the circlip -arrow B-. While doing so release pressure spring carefully.
–  Remove spacer bush and pressure spring.
–  Now remove the circlip -arrow C-.
–  Pull out the ball with ball guide and rubber rings upwards.
–  Remove the ball from the gearshift lever.

–  Unscrew fixing nuts -1- attaching the shift housing.
The gearbox housing can therefore be lowered.
–  Remove front push rod, by loosening the Allen screw -2-.
–  Remove shift rod by loosening the screw -3-.
–  Now loosen the complete rear push rod from the shift housing -arrows-.
–  Remove the gearshift lever with rear push rod from the shift housing.
Install
Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
Setting the shift mechanism → Chapter.

Shift housing to body → Chapter
