Removing:
–  Remove increased luggage compartment floor (depending upon vehicle equipment) or the luggage compartment-floor covering.
–  Remove the tailgate/luggage compartment cover → Chapter.
–  Remove side trim panel on the right in the luggage compartment → Chapter.
   
–  Remove screws (Pos. 1) and remove tensioning straps.
–  Remove screw (Pos. 2) from heat shield (Pos. 5).
–  Separate the box (Pos. 4) from the sealant (Pos. 3) (cut off) and detach from the luggage compartment floor upwards.
Installing:
–  Clean the adhesive surfaces with the cleaner D 009 401 04 and degrease.
–  Apply the primer D 009 200 02 in the adhesive area.
–  Apply the PUR adhesive D 172 090 A2 in the adhesive area on the battery box.
–  After applying the adhesive all around the box, insert in the opening in the luggage compartment floor.
–  Press onto the floor by hand and secure with screws (Pos. 1) with tensioning straps.
–  Install screw (Pos. 2).
  Note
Ensure proper glueing, in order to prevent water leaking into the vehicle.
