Brake Bleeding: Service and Repair
REPLACEMENT
NOTICE:

Perform fluid replacement with the parking brake applied.
^
Perform fluid replacement while maintaining the brake fluid level between the MIN/MAX level on the brake fluid reservoir.
^
Do not allow brake fluid to contact the vehicle's paint surfaces. If contact occurs, clean it off immediately.
1. REPLACE BRAKE FLUID OF FRONT BRAKE SYSTEM
(a)
Connect a vinyl tube to the bleeder plug of the front disc brake caliper.
(b) Depress the brake pedal several times and loosen the bleeder plug. With the brake pedal depressed, bleed fluid from the front disc brake
caliper RH and LH.
NOTICE: Add fluid to the brake fluid reservoir as necessary so that the fluid does not decrease below the MIN level.
(c)
After bleeding the fluid, tighten the bleeder plug and release the brake pedal.
Torque: 11 N*m (110 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf)
