Explanation of Pictographs
The Service Instructions use pictographs to illustrate the
various work steps easily and clearly.
Pictographs and their meaning:

Remove, detach
|

Any form of disassembly carried out on the vehicle (unscrewing,
driving out, etc.).

Install, attach
|
|
Any form of installation carried out on the vehicle (screwing
on, fitting, etc.).
|

|
Dismantle
|
|
Dismantling of component for cleaning, checking, etc.
|

|
Assemble
|
|
Assembling a component after the function check has been
completed.
|

|
Clean
|
|
To guarantee operation or reduce wear (bearing surface, sealing
surface, etc.).
|

|
Check/visual check
|
|
Checking of components for function and wear. Checking fluid
level and correcting if necessary.

|
Measure
|
|
Subsequent measuring of components, temperature, pressure, etc.,
to see if the given recommended values are being adhered to.
|

Adjust
|
|
All adjusting operations, observing the recommended values.
