Replace rear seat backrest pad - (40 percent
parting) - L35 (adjustable rear seat bench)
 Remove

Fold down seat cushion

Detach cover panel hinges

Unclip 2x cover panels (arrows)
|
|
|
|
| 3. |
Detach right head restraint
|
| 4. |
Remove right rear seat backrest
| • |
Unscrew 2x bolts (1), front
|
| • |
Fold down both rear seat backs
|
| • |
Unscrew 2x bolts (2) at the back
|
| • |
Detach body-bound rivet
|
|
| 5. |
Remove right rear seat backrest
| • |
Remove rear seat backrest from guide (ll)
|
|
|
|
| 6. |
Remove head restraint guide sleeve right side
| • |
Detach and remove 2x guide sleeves with appropriate tool
|
|
| 7. |
Detach rear seat backrest moulding
|
| 8. |
Detach upholstery covering all the way round
| • |
Loosen upholstery covering from seat frame all the way round
(arrows)
|
|
|
|
| 9. |
Detach seat backrest release
| • |
Unclip handle (1) upwards
|
|
| 10. |
Remove rear seat backrest release panel
| • |
Unlock the 4 lugs with a suitable tool (arrows)
|
|
|
|
| 11. |
Detach pad with upholstery covering
| • |
Remove pad from seat frame
|
|
| 12. |
Remove upholstery covering
| • |
Detach 14x clamps from pad
|
|
|
|
Install
| 13. |
Attach upholstery covering
| • |
Attach 14x clamps to pad
|
|
| 14. |
Upholstery covering with pad, Attach
| • |
Lay upholstery covering on seat frame and align
|
|
| 15. |
Fasten upholstery covering all the way round
| • |
Fasten upholstery covering to seat frame all the way round
|
|
| 16. |
Attach rear seat backrest panelling
|
| 17. |
Install rear seat backrest release panel
|
| 18. |
Attach seat backrest release
|
| 19. |
Install head restraint guide sleeve right side
| • |
Engage 2x guide sleeves (audible click)
|
|
| 20. |
Insert right rear seat backrest
| • |
Insert into guide, side
|
|
| 21. |
Attach right rear seat backrest
| • |
Tighten 2x screw at back 35 Nm
|
| • |
Fold down rear seat backrest
|
| • |
Tighten 2x bolts at the front 35
Nm
|
|
| 23. |
Attach cover panel hinges
|
| 24. |
Return seat cushions to original position
|
