Work Order Description

T001

Check: Interruption of Voltage Supply Circuit

  • Ignition OFF
  • All consumers turned off
  • Disconnect wiring harness connector from:
    A1_S22A Control Unit - Selector Lever
    (Wiring Harness Connector XC79 )
    &
    Diagnostic tester
  • Ignition ON
  • Measure voltage between the following terminals:
    A1_S22A Control Unit - Selector Lever
    Wiring harness connector (wiring harness side) terminal 2 (XC79)
    &
    Ground

greater than 11 V

Voltage Measurement Current Value: V
Yes: No:

Check: Interruption of Voltage Supply Circuit

  • Measure voltage between the following terminals:
    A1_S22A Control Unit - Selector Lever
    Wiring harness connector (wiring harness side) terminal 2 (XC79)
    &
    A1_S22A Control Unit - Selector Lever
    Wiring harness connector (wiring harness side) terminal 3 (XC79)

greater than 11 V

  • Circuit interruption between:
    A1_S22A Control Unit - Selector Lever
    Wiring harness connector (wiring harness side) terminal 12 (XC79)
    &
    A63 Control Unit - Airbag
    Wiring harness connector (wiring harness side) terminal 36 (XC17)

or

  • Defective component:
    A1_S22A Control Unit - Selector Lever

Important:

Reset the concerned control unit with the diagnostic tester before replacing it. In order to do that, call up the "RESET" function from the PROGRAMMING menu of the current system on the diagnostic tester.

E002 Result: Interruption
  • Circuit interruption between:
    A1_S22A Control Unit - Selector Lever
    Wiring harness connector (wiring harness side) terminal 3 (XC79)
    &
    Ground
E003 Result: Interruption
  • Circuit interruption between:
    A1_S22A Control Unit - Selector Lever
    Wiring harness connector (wiring harness side) terminal 2 (XC79)
    &
    X125 Underhood Electronic Module
    Socket Terminal 19 (XE3)

or

  • Defective component:
    X125 Underhood Electronic Module

Important:

Reset the concerned control unit with the diagnostic tester before replacing it. In order to do that, call up the "RESET" function from the PROGRAMMING menu of the current system on the diagnostic tester.
