Rear Wheel Brake > < Replace brake disc of front wheel brake

Brake Disc, Precision Turning

  Remove

1.   Remove relevant wheel
2.   Check surface condition of brake disc
3.   Measure brake disc thickness with MKM-230-A
4.   Permissible minimum thickness of the brake discs after precision turning - nominal values LUREF_1.gif LUREF_1.gif
Note:   Once these dimensions have been attained, new brake linings may only be installed on one further occasion. Thereafter, the brake discs must be replaced.

Do not use brake discs which cannot be re-machined within the nominal values.

Important:   Note manufacturer's instructions before machining! Machine the right brake disc at the front first. The brake disc turning machine is then placed on the left side rotated 180° so the adjustments from the right side can be taken over. Machine the left brake disc at the rear first. The brake disc turning machine is then placed on the right and rotated 180° so the adjustments from the left side can be taken over.
5.   Remove corresponding brake calliper
  • Removing the brake calliper of front wheel brake LUREF_1.gif
  • Removing brake calliper of rear wheel brake LUREF_1.gif
6.   Precision turn the corresponding brake discs

  Install

7.   Install corresponding brake calliper
  • Installing the brake calliper of front wheel brake LUREF_1.gif
  • Installing the brake calliper of the rear wheel brake LUREF_1.gif
