Brake Drum, Precision Turn

Note:   Only workshops which have facilities for grinding over-dimensioned brake linings to fit the machined brake drum using a brake lining grinding machine are authorised to perform this operation.

  Remove

1.   Remove rear wheels
2.   Remove brake drums
3.   Precision turn brake drums
Note:   Always precision turn both brake drums. Use only approved machines. Note manufacturer's instructions!
4.   Nominal values for the max. boring out dimension LUREF_1.gif

  Install

5.   After boring out the brake drums, oversize brake shoes with a 5.6 mm thick lining must be installed LUREF_1.gif
6.   Install brake drums
7.   Adjust drum brake and parking brake LUREF_1.gif LUREF_1.gif
8.   Fit rear wheels 110 Nm
