Attach and detach attaching parts
 Remove

Remove camshaft sensor of exhaust camshaft

Disconnect wiring harness connector.
|

| 2. |
Remove camshaft sensor of intake camshaft
| • |
Disconnect wiring harness connector.
|
|
| 3. |
Remove camshaft adjustment valve, exhaust camshaft
| • |
Disconnect wiring harness connector.
|
| • |
Unclip wiring harness from cylinder head
|
|
| 4. |
Remove camshaft adjustment valve, intake camshaft
| • |
Disconnect wiring harness connector.
|
|
| 5. |
Unscrew closure bolt, exhaust camshaft adjuster
|
| 6. |
Unscrew intake camshaft closure bolt
|
| 8. |
Slacken exhaust camshaft adjuster
Note: 2 mechanics
required
| • |
Counterhold at camshaft hexagon
|
|
| 9. |
Detach exhaust camshaft adjuster
|
| 10. |
Slacken intake camshaft adjuster
Note: 2 mechanics
required
| • |
Counterhold at camshaft hexagon
|
|
| 11. |
Detach intake camshaft adjuster
|
| 12. |
Remove rear toothed belt cover
| • |
Unclip wiring trough cover
|
|
| 13. |
Remove thermostat housing
|
Install
| 14. |
Attach thermostat housing
|
| 15. |
Clean 4x thread, rear toothed belt cover
|
| 16. |
Install rear toothed belt cover
| • |
Tighten 4x new bolt 6 Nm
| – |
Coat 4x bolt with locking compound
|
|
| • |
Clip in wiring trough cover
|
|
| 17. |
Attach intake camshaft adjuster
Note: Do not tighten
bolt
|
| 18. |
Attach exhaust camshaft adjuster
Note: Do not tighten
bolt
|
| 19. |
Insert KM-6340
Note: Note markings on
the camshaft sprockets
|
| 20. |
Insert KM-6628-A into camshafts
| • |
Align camshafts by the hexagon until KM-6628-A can be inserted in both camshafts
|
|
| 21. |
Tighten exhaust camshaft adjuster 65
Nm+120°+15°
Note: 2 mechanics
required
| • |
Counterhold at camshaft hexagon
|
|
| 22. |
Tighten intake camshaft adjuster 65
Nm+120°+15°
Note: 2 mechanics
required
| • |
Counterhold at camshaft hexagon
|
|
| 23. |
Tighten exhaust camshaft adjuster closure bolt 30 Nm
|
| 24. |
Tighten closure bolt, intake camshaft adjuster 30 Nm
|
| 25. |
Install camshaft adjustment valve, exhaust camshaft
| • |
Clip wiring harness to cylinder head
|
| • |
Fix wiring harness plug
|
|
| 26. |
Install camshaft adjustment valve, intake camshaft
| • |
Fix wiring harness plug
|
|
| 27. |
Install camshaft sensor of exhaust camshaft
| • |
Fix wiring harness plug
|
|
| 28. |
Install camshaft sensor, intake camshaft
| • |
Fix wiring harness plug
|
|
