Replace ribbed V-belt > < Accessory Drive, Replace

Check ribbed V-belt tension

  Remove

1.   Open bonnet
2.   Raise vehicle by its full height
Note:   The ribbed V-belt tension is set via the automatic ribbed V-belt tensioner. Only the position of the moving tension arm for the ribbed V-belt tensioner needs to be checked.
3.   Remove lower engine compartment cover (2)
•   Unscrew 4x bolts (1)
•   Remove 2x body-bound rivets (3)

4.   Check position of tension arm
•   The marking (1) of the movable tension arm for the ribbed V-belt tensioner must be between the markings (2).

  Install

5.   Attach lower engine compartment cover
•   Tighten 4x bolts
•   Install 2x body-bound rivets
6.   Lower vehicle by its full height
7.   Close bonnet
