Check ribbed V-belt tension > < Replace ribbed V-belt tensioner

Accessory Drive, Replace

  Remove

1.   Remove air cleaner housing
2.   Remove engine splash guard (right-hand)
3.   Detach ribbed V-belt
•   Mark direction of rotation
•   Apply tension to ribbed V-belt tensioner (1) anticlockwise and fix with KM-6130
Remove ribbed-V-belt
Object Number: 2412843  Size: DEFAULT


4.   Block crankshaft.
•   Attach KM-6625
Detach screwed connection (1)
Insert KM-6625 (2)
Tighten screwed connection (3)
Object Number: 9007701  Size: DEFAULT


5.   Detach torsional vibration damper (3)
•   Unscrew bolt (4)
6.   Detach ribbed V-belt tensioner (1)
•   Unscrew bolt (2)
Ribbed V-belt tensioner remains locked with KM-6130
Object Number: 3446322  Size: DEFAULT


  Install

7.   Attach ribbed V-belt tensioner (2)
•   Tighten bolt 50 Nm
8.   Fit torsional vibration damper
Important:   Use new bolt
•   Tighten bolt 95 Nm + 30° + 15°
9.   Remove KM-6625
•   Detach screwed connection
•   Tighten bolted connection
Use new nuts
10.   Install ribbed V-belt (1)
Note:   Observe direction of rotation
•   Apply tension to ribbed V-belt tensioner in the direction of the arrow (anti-clockwise)
•   Position ribbed V-belt
•   Remove KM-6130 (3)

11.   Attach engine splash guard
12.   Lower vehicle
13.   Install air cleaner housing LUREF_1.gif

Check ribbed V-belt tension > < Replace ribbed V-belt tensioner
