Replace bearing in transmission housing (F17
new)
Note: Transmission
remains installed.
 Remove
|

Remove gearshift cover (1)
|
| 2. |
Remove reversing lamps switch
| • |
Disconnect wiring harness plug for reversing lamp switch
|
| • |
Unscrew reversing lamps switch (2)
|
|
| 3. |
Remove end shield cover (3)
|
|
|
| 6. |
Remove drive shaft needle bearings (3)
| • |
Withdraw needle bearings from transmission housing with KM-556-A (1) and MKM-599 (2)
|
|
| 7. |
Remove main shaft roller bearing (4)
| • |
Withdraw roller bearing from transmission housing with KM-556-A (6) and KM-556-2 (5)
|
|
|
Install
|
| 8. |
Install main shaft roller bearing (3)
Important: Do not drive in roller
bearing flush, otherwise the bearing will be damaged.

Drive new roller bearing for main shaft bearing in transmission
into transmission housing with KM-454-3
(5) and KM-454-4 (4) as far as it will
go
|
|
| 9. |
Install drive shaft needle bearings (2)
Note: Needle bearing
side with writing points to transmission.

Drive needle bearing flush into transmission housing with KM-454-2 (6) and KM-454-4 (1)

Install end shield (1)
Note: Observe the
magnet
|
| 12. |
Install end shield cover (2)
|
| 13. |
Install gearshift cover (3)
|
| 14. |
Transmission Fluid Level, Check and Correct 
|
| 15. |
Install reversing lamp switch
| • |
insert with new seal ring
|
| • |
Tighten reversing lamp switch (4) 20
Nm
|
| • |
Connect wiring harness plug
|
|
| 16. |
Check ease of gear shifting
|
|
|
