Unlocking selector lever lock in case of
malfunction.
 Remove

Compress automatic shifting cover (1) at the sides, pull upwards
starting at front and fold over (I).
With a pencil (or pen) press the yellow release lever (2) on the
selector lever lock starter solenoid down (arrow) and hold in this
position (II).
Withdraw lock knob and move selector lever out of "P-position"
(III).

Install
Clip in automatic shifting cover.
Note: For vehicles
with automatic transmission from MY '98 always remove key from
ignition lock during longer lay-over times, including overnight. If
the key is not removed and the acoustic signal is ignored when the
driver's door is opened, the battery may become discharged.
