The pressure regualtor allows optimal adaptation of the transmission main pressure to every driving situation. For this, the control unit processes all input information, e. g. about the engine throttle valve position and the transmission output speed, and converts it into control pulses for the pressure regulator.

The result is smooth shifting in all driving situations.
