Function Features Both ABS systems are 4-channel systems with diagonal brake circuit lines. Both systems are diagnosable according to Keyword 82 and thus permit system diagnosis using the TECH 1 diagnostic tester. They are equipped with a monitoring function. In the Vectra-B, a self-test of the solenoid valves and the pump motor is performed with the ignition switched on while the vehicle is still at a standstill. If a fault is recognised, the ABS is switched off and the ABS telltale is actuated. The conventional brake systems remains operational. The relevant trouble code is stored and can be read out via TECH 1. |
