Brake Linings, Brake Caliper, Brake Disc Brake Linings - Front Wheel Brake, Remove and Install
Important! All brake linings on axle must be replaced.
Remove, Disconnect Remove front wheels. Detach brake lining sensor (1). Remove brake calliper - see operation "Brake Calliper - Front Wheel Brake, Remove and Install". Do not disconnect hydraulic line from brake calliper - hydraulic system remains sealed. Remove outer brake lining from brake carrier. Press inner brake lining with retaining clip from pistons. |

Install, Connect Push back piston with piston pusher.
Important! Brake fluid level increases in brake fluid reservoir. If necessary, siphon off brake fluid. With leaks or defective protective sleeve on the piston: Remove brake calliper, clean and replace protective sleeve - see operation "Brake Calliper - Front Wheel Brake, Overhaul".
Clean Clean guides (1) and (2) in brake carrier with soft metal brush.
Inspect Check brake linings and brake discs for wear - see operation "Brake Linings and Brake Discs, Check for Wear". |

Important! Before installing brake linings note correct position of piston - the two raised thrust surfaces (1) of the piston must be horizontal.
Install, Connect Press brake lining with retaining clip into pistons and insert brake lining in brake backing. Check ease of movement of brake lining in the guide, thinly coat the guides and brake lining rear sides with anti-squeak paste. Attach brake caliper - see operation "Brake Caliper - Front Wheel Brake, Remove and Install".
Adjust Adjust operating clearance by actuating brake pedal several times. Correct brake fluid level if necessary. Connect brake lining sensor.
Install, Connect Attach front wheels.
Tighten (Torque) Wheel to wheel hub - 110 Nm / 81 lbf. ft. |
