Front Toothed Belt Cover, Remove and Install (X 16 SZR)  

  Remove, Disconnect   

Remove air cleaner housing - see illustration "Air Cleaner Housing, Air Flow Guide (X 16 SZR)".   Mark running direction of ribbed V-belt. Tension ribbed V-belt clockwise using ribbed V-belt tension roller and KM-913-A and remove ribbed V-belt from pulleys.   Remove upper part (1) of the front toothed belt cover.   Remove lower wheel well panelling.   For version without air conditioning: remove flywheel cover plate and lock flywheel with KM-517-B.   Version with air conditioning: lock flywheel with KM-911.   Detach increment disc (2) from crankshaft.   Remove lower part (3) of the front toothed belt cover.

  Install, Connect   

Install lower part of front toothed belt cover - tightening torque 4 Nm / 3 lbf. ft.   Attach increment disc with new fastening bolt to crankshaft - tightening torque 55 Nm / 41 lbf. ft. + 45 ° + 15 ° .   Version without air conditioning: lock flywheel with KM-517-B.   Version with air conditioning: lock flywheel with KM-911.     Measure    Measure crankshaft pulse pick-up gap with feeler gauge - nominal value: 1.0 ± 0.7 mm. If gap is not correct, the crankshaft pulse pick-up bracket must be replaced.     Install, Connect    Version without air conditioning: attach flywheel cover plate.   Install lower wheel well panelling. Install upper part of front toothed belt cover - tightening torque 4 Nm / 3 lbf. ft.   Tension ribbed V-belt tension roller clockwise with KM-913-A and position ribbed V-belt - note running direction of ribbed V-belt.   Install air cleaner housing - see illustration "Air Cleaner Housing, Air Flow Guide (X 16 SZR)".
