Engine Damping Blocks, Engine, Short-block  

Auxiliary Component Bracket, Remove and Install (with Air Conditioning)  

  Remove, Disconnect   

Drain air conditioning - see operation "Air Conditioning, Drain" in group "D".   Remove ribbed V-belt tension roller - see operation "Ribbed V-belt Tension Roller, Remove and Install".   Detach coolant lines (1) from compressor (1 fastening bolt) and place to one side.   Attach engine to Engine Bridge MKM-883-1.   Remove front exhaust pipe.   Remove fastening bolts (arrows) and remove condenser from auxiliary component main bracket.

  Remove, Disconnect   

Release upper fastening bolt for engine damping block bracket (1) - fastening bolt cannot be removed.   Remove both lower fastening bolts for engine damping block bracket (2).   Disconnect wiring harness plug from coolant temperature sensor.   Remove fastening bolts (3) and (4) - note different bolts.   Remove auxiliary aggregate support downwards.

  Install, Connect   

Attach auxiliary aggregate support to cylinder block - note different bolt lengths - tightening torque 35 Nm / 26 lbf. ft.  

Attach front right engine damping block bracket to auxiliary aggregates support - tightening torque 60 Nm / 44 lbf. ft.  

Attach compressor to auxiliary aggregate support - tightening torque 35 Nm / 26 lbf. ft.  

Install front exhaust pipe.  

Release engine from Engine Bridge MKM-883-1 and remove engine bridge.  

Connect wiring harness plug to coolant temperature sensor.  

Attach refrigerant lines to compressor with new seal rings - 33 Nm / 24 lbf. ft.  

Attach ribbed V-belt tension roller - see operation "Ribbed V-belt Tension Roller, Remove and Install".  

Charge air conditioning - see operation "Air Conditioning, Evacuate and Charge" in group "D".
