  • Bearing shells 1, 2, 4 and 5
    • ◆ For bearing caps 1, 2 and 5 without oil grooves.
    • ◆ For bearing cap 4 with oil groove.
    • ◆ Do not interchange used bearing shells (mark).
  • 65 Nm + ¼ turn (90°)
  • Bearing caps
    • ◆ Bearing cap 1: pulley end.
    • ◆ Bearing cap 3 with recesses for thrust washers.
    • ◆ Bearing shell retaining lugs cylinder block/bearing cap must be on the same side.
  • Bearing shell 3
    • ◆ For bearing cap without oil groove.
    • ◆ For cylinder block with oil groove.
  • Thrust washer
    • ◆ For bearing cap 3.
    • ◆ Note fixing arrangement.

  • Crankshaft
    • ◆ Axial clearance:
      New: 0.07...0.17 mm.
      Wear limit: 0.25 mm.
    • ◆ Check radial clearance with Plastigage:
      New: 0.02...0.06 mm.
      Wear limit: 0.17 mm.
    • ◆ Do not rotate the crankshaft when checking the radial clearance.

  • Thrust washer
    • ◆ For cylinder block bearing 3.
  • Bearing shells 1, 2, 4 and 5
    • ◆ With oil groove.
    • ◆ Do not interchange used bearing shells (mark).
