4 cyl. carburetor engine, mechanics (1.5, 1.6 and 1.8 litre engine)
Removing and installing parts of cooling system
Modified radiator attachment

08.81 ä the radiator attachment was altered.

New:

Top

- 2 brackets secured with screws

Bottom

- Lugs cast onto radiator engage in holders

Old:

Top

- Connection piece (wire clip)

Bottom

- Screw fastening by way of bonded rubber mount

Only the new radiator version is available as replacement part.

Subsequent installation

  • ‒ Remove radiator complete with air guide and fan.

  • ‒ → Mark left and right holes such that holder is flush with rear cross member.

  • ‒ Drill dia. 11.5 mm holes in cross member and insert mount into holes.
  • ‒ Attach air guide, fan etc. to new radiator.
  • ‒ Slip rubber feet over lugs at radiator and instert radiator into mounts.
  • ‒ Insert bracket into radiator.
  • ‒ Mark and drill dia. 6.5 mm holes in the lock carrier plate.
  • ‒ Attach bracket to lock carrier plate with hex. bolts, washers, spring washers and hex. nuts.
