K-jetronic injection system
Safety measures
In order to ovoid injuries to persons and/or damage to the ignition and fuel injection system, the following must be noted:

◆ When the engine is running or being turned at starter speed,ignition wires must not be touched or disconnected.

◆ The ignition must be switched off before any ignition and test appliance wires - are disconnected.

◆ When engine is to be turned at starter speed without starting (e. g. when compressions) pull connector off hall sender pull the HT cable from the distributor and earth with aux. cable from V.A.G 1594.

◆ A Staring boost with a quick charges id only permissible for up to 1 minute at a maximum of 16.5 volts.

◆ When electric arc and spot welding is being done on the vehicle, the battery must be completely disconnected.

◆ Vehicles which have a defect, or are suspected of having a defect, in the ignition system may only be tower with the TCI-H switch unit disconnected.

◆ After the vehicle has been heated up in excess of 80 °C ( e. g. in paint booth), it should be allowed to cool off before the engine is started.

◆ Ignition must be switched off when washing engine.
